Director, Growth Marketing

Responsibilities

As the Director of Growth Marketing, you will own and drive the media strategy and execution of growth programs in the US with a focus on small to medium-sized businesses (SMB) across the following primary channels: TV (Broadcast, Cable, OTT/CTV), Radio (AM/FM, SiriusXM, Streaming Music), and Podcasts. You will manage the planning, budgeting, execution, and optimization of large-scale campaigns through our media agencies. You will focus on delivering significant new employer customer acquisition growth while ensuring efficiency by hitting Cost-per-acquisition (CPA) targets. You should be able to synthesize campaign performance into a compelling strategy that serves as an anchor of the overall marketing plan. You will run this practice like a business and be responsible for the P&L and ROI of the team’s efforts. While this role primarily focuses on driving new customer acquisition via TV & Audio, depending on the candidate’s expertise the role could include a mixture of additional acquisition channels.

  • Owns media strategy, while managing quarterly campaign execution and optimization through our external media agencies for the following channels: TV (Broadcast, Cable, Digital TV), Audio (Radio, Streaming Music, Podcast) campaigns. Ensures alignment with the latest insights, continuously monitors and optimizes each channel towards the lowest cost per acquisition (CPA).
  • Ensures that all media plans are consistent with the overall Growth marketing goals
  • Identify and prioritize testing roadmap for TV & Audio
  • Understands campaign reporting, the whys behind weekly and monthly trends, and makes significant strategic recommendations on how to optimize campaign performance
  • Reviews recent performance against forecasted plans and underlying assumptions to establish if revised performance guidance is required or incremental investment opportunities exist
  • Work with Media Agency to develop annual media plans that include both forecasted conversions and revenue
  • Provide thought leadership, strategic insight, and clear communication (written and verbal) to your team and the organization on the company’s growth strategy
  • Maintain a steady focus on people leadership and development
  • Manages a team of 2+

Skills/Competencies

  • 7+ years experience driving both media strategy and new customer acquisition through a variety of TV and Audio channels with a willingness to dive deep into understanding channel attribution
  • Excellent written communication, proven presentation skills and detail-oriented with exceptional curiosity, critical thinking, and solution-oriented capabilities
  • Bias towards analytics and measurement with extensive experience measuring your campaigns towards revenue-related goals
  • Comfort and ease working with large budgets, aggressive targets, and the measurement of key performance metrics (E.g CPA)
  • Demonstrates a proven track record of efficiently project managing and scaling large programs, while adeptly driving and managing multiple complex projects concurrently.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and demonstrates adaptability and self-motivation in learning new software, channels, and programs.
  • Ability to build and nurture working relationships across all levels of the organization in a remote environment

Salary Range Transparency

US Remote 160,000 – 240,000 USD per year
